Beggars contains multitudes. Here, three very different acts from its storied roster share their own experiences of the label. Buffalo Tom’s Bill Janowitz recalls emerging from the same Amherst alt rock scene that birthed Dinosaur Jr and happily stum... more

Really enjoying every episode on this! Keep em coming.
The Beggars story is brilliantly told here, with a great balance between the artistic side and the business side of what it achieved. A hugely important chapter in cultural history captured with great skill.
Really well made episodes. He lets the guest do the talking and doesn’t push them into a direction he wants. Great insight into how the music industry works for some people. Gene loves Jezabel we’re simply hilarious in how narcissistic they were, I’d really never heard of them and when I listened I could see why. Excellent podcast - the entertaining and revealing story of the best label on the planet!
Some amazing music has been released by Beggars and the stories behind the music are fantastic. More please…….
Always loved Beggars. One of the few times I ever bought records just because of the label the band were on. Got into The Bolshoi and Nephilm that way (and they’re using the hit that never was but should have been “A way” as the incidental music). Great stuff.
