  • Perfect for Star Wars fans, not so much Trekkies

In my option, this particular podcast - “Star Trek Sessions” - contains very little (if any) useful content about the Star Trek Universe. There is absolutely no coverage of the latest news around Paramount’s plans for TV series, 60th anniversary convention updates or Quentin Tarantino’s Trek movie. I therefore find this a very very poor podcast for those in the trek fandom.

However, for fans of Star Wars this show is utterly perfect.

The Editing of Andor (with EMMY AWARD WINNER YAN MILES) and ANDOR CAST Panels // #346
Q: How did you approach editing three episodes back-to-back like a film?
Miles describes treating the block as a continuous arcing narrative, focusing on rhythm, character throughlines, and the integration of VFX in a way that feels seamless on screen, almost like a film.
THE MANDALORIAN & GROGU Promotions Hits LIGHTSPEED! // #339
Q: What would you like to see in an animated Star Wars movie if more Shadow Lord is coming out?
The hosts discuss that animated projects could expand the universe, suggesting sequels, High Republic, Old Republic, or Kylo Ren-centered stories, with a preference for live-action kept for major releases but a potential animated film or series to explore broader lore.
Our Favourite Star Wars SOUNDS // #334
Q: Should they move away from the rule of two in new era storytelling?
The hosts discuss a nuanced approach: keep a small core of elite antagonists but allow expansion with secondary antagonists to preserve tension while enabling growth and differentiation in new story eras.
Now That's What I Call a DISNEY SHAKEUP! // #330
Q: What will Plagueis do if he had survived?
He would have likely gone after Palpatine.
Now That's What I Call a DISNEY SHAKEUP! // #330
