Lenore Rattray describes the impact of this horrific event with sensitivity, bravery, and nuance. She’s also a great storyteller — who digs underneath the events of the story for the powerful lessons, without falling into easy platitudes. She’s reaching for and finding meaning in some very dark places. Her survival story has something to teach us all.

And I still have no words to process what I am hearing.
