  • Not great production

The content they discuss is good but the production isn’t good. I was listening to an episode and it just cuts off no outro and then they load the second half the next day . So if you just found the podcast you might come in on the middle of a conversation. If an episode is gonna be 2 parts there still needs to be a intro and outro for the episode

  • Bring back full episodes

I enjoy this show. It’s always a mixed bag and I do have some issues with it… but I kinda like it that way. I like that every episode is different and some connect with me better than others. I think it should be that way.

One thing I don’t like is how they started splitting up the podcasts into five episodes. I don’t understand the logic (or absence of). To make it more digestible I guess? That makes no sense. Just because the full episode is available in one chunk doesn’t mean you have to lis... more

  • Go Back to old Format

I dislike that the pod is now split in to multiple episodes. Makes it much more difficult to listen in order.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

PSA's Shutdown Creates New Problems + A Massive Vintage Find Surfaces + A 20-Year-Old Hobby Veteran
Q: How do you balance preserving raw cards versus grading them during a grading pause?
A mix strategy: keep some raw for potential quick sales or later grading, but slab the most valuable pieces to retain market value and trust; rely on SGС/CGC for bulk or mid-grade items and reassess when PSA reopens.
PSA's Shutdown Creates New Problems + A Massive Vintage Find Surfaces + A 20-Year-Old Hobby Veteran
Q: What are your immediate plans for the 1940s vintage cards while PSA pauses their lower-level tiers?
Continue submitting the higher-end items to PSA where feasible, while routing cheaper or mid-range cards to SGC, CGC, or Retail/holding until PSA reopens; also considering selling some items at shows to offset backlog delays.
Chasing Taste or Chasing Validation? + Brett McGrath Deep Dive + The Social Media Hobby Effect
Q: Can collectors separate personal taste from social influence in a hobby built on visibility and market validation?
The host and guest discuss that it's possible in theory, but in practice social signals—like displays, shares, and prices—can subtly pull collectors toward trends; over time, more seasoned collectors learn to balance external influence with their own meaningful interests.
From Hospital Packs to Tech Founder + Turning Cards Into Cash at Scale + The Kronozio Story
Q: What is the elevator pitch for Kronozio?
Kronozio is a complete collection manager that lets you scan, crop, list, and ship cards quickly, while fully owning your data and workflow, with live support and bi-directional integration with eBay, plus export options for other platforms.
Value Shaming Debate + Are Collectors Thinking About Cards Wrong? + Fanatics NYC Behind the Scenes
Q: How do you view value in a collector's mindset versus the buying/selling professional view?
A balanced perspective is needed, recognizing that value can drive decision-making for some, while others buy for enjoyment and personal connection; both viewpoints can coexist if aligned with long-term goals and exit strategies.
