  • Timely and Digestible!

I cannot say enough good things about this podcast. Each episode feels tailor-made to the questions I have about my horses and feels as though I am talking to a super-knowledgeable and nonjudgmental friend. (So much so that I look forward to each episode in the same way I look forward to getting together with my friends.) Even more technical content in the pod is broken down into real world terms, helping to make me feel really empowered every time I head to the barn.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

56: Putting the Horse First in Every Circumstance with Adam Sewell
Q: What can a person expect at your archery clinic?
Clinics start with ground archery to teach the basics of knocking an arrow and shooting safely, then progress to horse-based practice at walk, trot, and canter, with strict emphasis on safety, horsemanship, and gradual exposure to archery around the horse. Smaller groups (no more than 12) and a focus on education over hype.
23: An Authentic Balance of Horsemanship, Motherhood, and Business With Amy Skinner
Q: What is the impact or the change that you want to have on the horse industry?
Amy wants to encourage people to be more aware of their habits and to pay attention rather than rely on specific recipes for horse care.
23: An Authentic Balance of Horsemanship, Motherhood, and Business With Amy Skinner
Q: How has being a mom influenced or changed your approach with your horses?
Being a mom has opened up Amy's experience to include other people's perspectives and deepened her compassion for clients, especially those who are returning to riding with fear.
13: Redefining Leadership: Building Unshakable Horse-Human Bonds
Q: How can I begin to really make it inclusive leadership?
You can, at moments, give your horse control and see if they can step into that space and take over from there.
18: Tricks for Hoof Boots that Actually Fit with Karen Timcoe Cox
Q: How does somebody start working with you?
First, you send Karen four photos of each hoof and measurements to assist in finding the right boot fit.
