What a top notch job these guys do. As a fan of Hardcore History and Star Wars, the Battle of Endor series is just phenomenal! You can tell they love the podcasts they are parodying because they hit the little details perfectly, from the intro and dropping in famous movie/show clips, to the use of controversial history documents (cannon vs non-cannon SW books since Lucas Films sold the rights to SW). I love it and hope they do more!
I am a huge Hardcore History fan and stumbled upon this parody podcast by a Twitter link. What a delightful find. Brilliant! Just what I needed. The care they have taken with this hilarious spoof is evident. Cannot wait for next installment...perhaps, GOT?
I’ve just blitzed through the available episodes and this is now my new favourite podcast. In particular the Dan Carlin / Star Wars tribute displays great humour, wit and superb attention to destabilise. If parody is the highest form of flattery then spec media truly love their source material. more
Great job with this Podcast! not only is it funny and engaging, you can see that the guys put in the work
Dan Carlin has to be one of the hardest styles to emulate and Spec does it with such veracity that any HH fan will come away with a giant smile on their face.
This is amazing. Love Hardcore History - you absolutely nailed it. At first I was impressed and laughed, by the end I forgot I wasn’t listening to Dan Carlin. I don’t believe I’ve ever written another review for a Podcast but felt compelled to do so here. Well done and thank you! more
This pod is amazing. The love and effort that goes into the parodies is evident. Any fan of sci-fi, true crime podcasts, or Hardcore History, needs to listen. So unexpected and funny. I am losing my mind every couple of minutes. A must listen for any true sci-fi/fantasy nerd.
This is one of the most unexpected and amazing surprises the wonderful inter webs have spawned. Well done! Hilarious!
