  • Love the show, but please do something about the ads

Wonderful interviews with musicians whose work I love, but was just listening to an episode where an ad that was twice as loud as the show started when the interviewee was mid-sentence. Maybe this is just supposed to be motivation to sign up for the patreon but come on

  • If you love music this is a must

The questions here are just perfect. They get so much out of each guest and give an insight into musicians that few other shows are able to attain. Brad is fantastic as host and the collection of guests is phenomenal. Fascinating whether you know the interviewee or not.

Caroline Davis - Songs of Our Lives #126
Q: What drew you to the organelle as a principal instrument for this project?
Its open-source community, the patches shared on the forum, and the portability of a compact setup all appealed to me, and it also aligns with my activist values of accessible, community-driven technology.
Caroline Davis - Songs of Our Lives #126
Q: And what was the experience of the Wyoming residency like in terms of space and quiet?
The space was disorienting in a way because New York is so saturated, but it also offered a rich environment with other artists that was inspiring and made the process feel expansive and connective rather than isolating.
Walker Farrell - Songs of Our Lives #123
Q: What is your most romantic song?
Farrell selects You're My Best Friend by Queen, framing it as a pure joy anthem about long-term love and the happiness of growing with a partner through time.
Walker Farrell - Songs of Our Lives #123
Q: Let's start with the first song you remember.
Farrell recalls Miles Davis' So What from Kind of Blue as the formative listen that shaped how he pays attention to music, especially after receiving a dubbed cassette for insomnia that became central to his listening habits.
Tusco Embassy (Roulette Style!) - Songs of Our Lives #118
Q: What is your favorite song?
My favorite song is Dive by Nirvana, which illustrates the flavor of what Nirvana is all about.
