  • Incredibly valuable listening

Over the past few years, besides music, this has become my favorite thing to listen to. I truly enjoy (mentally and physically) listening to these episodes. Each guest and interview is incredibly different and each episode has a different feel altogether. Such a wonderful mindfulness and embodiment podcast. A reminder that there are many options when it comes to your journey on the path to embodiment. Thank you, Bryson + Somatic Primer Podcast !

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Graham Scarr: BioTensegrity
Q: What exactly was hindering with the old model to bring this in? Why would this enhance your practice, your ability to work with people?
The old lever model was rigid, not accommodating the interconnectedness of body parts, which contradicted what practitioners observed in practice.
Prajwal Ratna Vajracharya: Charya Nritya, Sacred Dance of Nepal
Q: So what is it that you do? Like what exactly is this with dance and stuff?
Embodiment means it is like my dance is like you may see a lot of statues, thousands of years old statues with all the different deities.
Prajwal Ratna Vajracharya: Charya Nritya, Sacred Dance of Nepal
Q: So the reason you came to America was to bring the tradition here?
Traditions and also I was being invited to teach what I do.
Penelope Easten: Integrated Movement
Q: How do you make decisions to move from within that place of stillness?
Without her, you bring yourself to the complete space of quiet where you are just present to the room and give consent for movement.
James Nestor: The Somatics of Breath
Q: Is there something not included in your book that you wish people knew?
There are many intriguing stories and research findings that didn’t make it, which I might explore in the future.
