I have just discovered this podcast. I’ve started at the beginning and can’t believe how generous Gina is with her knowledge, the sessions are so informative but also so much fun to listen to. Two best friends having fun together. I feel part of their conversation which is wonderful and helps combat the loneliness I sometimes experience living alone and with a chronic health condition. I am just so sorry that I have only discovered this podcast after Gina has passed away. However what an amazing... more

I’m really going to miss Gina’s way of explaining the art of photography. I’m going to start re-listening to episodes to get my Gina fix. RIP Gina.
There is so much to learn about the art and science of photography. I have been enjoying photography for a few years. But it is daunting - so much to learn and some of it can be too technical. What I learn from this podcast is a perfect fit for my skill set, is easily understood, and there are supporting show notes as well as examples to help illustrate the subject matter. I am learning lots of new techniques and the show also helps reinforce or correct/refine what I've learned in the past. This... more

Recently started listening to this podcast after hearing Val mention it on the So You want to be a Copywriter podcast which I also enjoy. I am steadily working my way through all the episodes, and love the fresh and honest approach that both Gina and Val have. Lots of great practical tips and advice mixed in with entertaining photography and travel stories (I’m still in 2016 in the episode list). I also finally bit the bullet and purchased a budget flash lighting kit so I can start to develop so... more

So glad that I found this podcast. Living on a cattle property I have so many images of cows, horses, barb wire, birds etc, but I’m looking to take the next step and photograph people, and come up with new ways to shoot cows, horses, barb wire, birds etc. Not only entertaining, but informative and creative, I have also been taking you girls with me mustering and listen along while chasing cows. I have just purchased my first lights, Godox 200, and will be practising on friends and family soon. I... more
I’ve spent a large amount of time listening to recent episodes, and going through the the back catalog. Gina and Val cover a broad range of topics, in an entertaining and informative way and take time to explain in an easy to grasp way. I’ve learnt so much about the craft and business of Photography from them. 10 out of 5 stars from me. :-D
Val should talk more, is the nicest way of saying what I have to say.
Thank you! This podcast is so informative and entertaining. I have been into photography for the past 15 years, however, a number of those years was inactive. This podcast has definitely helped bring back those skills and have learnt so many new techniques.
