    Great points and perspectives. I find myself wanting to stay on the fence, as Etan’s obviously right about local issues dominating any national story (as far as true impact), but humans are symbolic and Dr. Boyce did a good job explaining the impact (even if only symbolic) protests have. The manipulation conversation was thought provoking too!
