I listen every night and never make it to the end of the story- have to fast forward the next time to catch up where I left off 😂 so I’d say IT WORKS. The Hercules one was my fave
Helps me relax and fall asleep. His voice is so soothing. The length is just right and the stories are always interesting
I just wanna start by saying, there are nights where I can’t get to sleep without this podcast. Both of the Sherlock Holmes stories, the Great Gatsby, Perseus & Medusa, and the Labors of Hercules are in my heavy rotations. One of the only sleep hacks I’ve tried that’s actually made me feel sleepy. I used this podcast when I had a bout of insomnia and I fell asleep quite quickly & slept both deeper and longer. Given that only the first chapter is read for each text, you may well find yourself hunting for the full audio book from somewhere, but this is still a very helpful podcast for making you sleepy because of how it’s read & I have not found an equally soothing full audiobook reading - so I use both separately. more
I’ve been listening to Sleepy for quite some years now, and throughout a particularly scary life threatening experience in hospital Otis’ voice as like a calm island in a stormy sea of fear and stress. Not only does the show help me get to sleep, but this podcast is also a life raft in difficult times. Forever thankful 🧡
