  • An outstanding podcast on baby sleep!

Really impressed with the quality and depth of the material in this podcast - I had previously purchased a book and a sleep course from other sources, both of which go into less detail than this podcast makes available for free.

The bases on which all sleep advice is provided are sound and trustworthy (not the case for all sources on baby sleep online), and best of all, it works! I can only highly recommend it!

  • Such a helpful, easy-to-digest resource!

Every episode is so straight to the point, with good humor and lots of encouragement for parents. It’s been very helpful on my journey with a newborn, and I also listen to the episodes about older kiddos so I know what’s to come!

  • $70 for Newborn sleep guide ?

I’ve been listening to Erin’s podcast for a bit. At first it seems like a lot of info bc different rules apply to different ages but I’ve been taking notes to make order of it. I also really appreciate how she gets in to the topics pretty quickly instead of talking. about her personal life (many podcasts do not). Out of curiosity went over to her website to check out her sleep guide PDF….$70 for the newborn guide ! I think that’s nuts. On another note, she had a guest, Jenny Best, who used the b... more

Q&A: Contact Naps, Lengthening Naps and Daycare Naps
Q: What are some signs that my four-and-a-half-year-old's bedtime is too early?
If it takes more than 20 to 30 minutes for your child to fall asleep or if they have early morning wakeups around 5 or 5:30, it may suggest that a later bedtime is needed.
Q&A: Contact Naps, Lengthening Naps and Daycare Naps
Q: Is waking hourly after 2 a.m. indicative of the four-month sleep regression?
Yes, it often signifies the transition out of the newborn stage, which can cause shorter sleep cycles and increased wakefulness due to developmental changes.
Q&A: Contact Naps, Lengthening Naps and Daycare Naps
Q: How can I lengthen my 17-month-old's naps at daycare?
Consider discussing the sleep environment with the daycare to ensure it's conducive to napping, and possibly adjust the timing of the nap to avoid overtiredness.
Q&A: Contact Naps, Lengthening Naps and Daycare Naps
Q: How do I handle days when my 15-month-old doesn't nap at daycare?
Put your child to bed early, ideally around 6 p.m., to prevent overtiredness that can lead to difficulty falling asleep at night.
Q&A: Contact Naps, Lengthening Naps and Daycare Naps
Q: How can I support my 12-week-old who only does contact naps to transition to bassinet naps?
You can create a dark, quiet environment to help your baby feel comfortable sleeping in the bassinet, recognizing that they may fuss initially as they adjust to this new sleeping space.
