Not only do I appreciate the wealth of knowledge, but the guys are so motivated and just get me hyped to make some videos and m... more

Unlocking Tax Strategies for Content Creators: Expert Insights with Tina McGlynn
Q: Are there other deductions other than what we've already talked about that maybe someone might commonly miss?
There are common deductions like your home office, internet, and any software subscriptions you use for your business, but it's also important to consider tax strategies to reduce what you're paying.

Q: What about the LLC or creating the entity around that?
An LLC makes sense for credibility if you're looking for samples and brand deals, but it's not necessary for everyone; it depends on growth aspirations.
Unlocking Tax Strategies for Content Creators: Expert Insights with Tina McGlynn
Q: At what point does an Amazon Influencer actually become a business in the eyes of the IRS?
From the first dollar earned, because there are business agreements in the Amazon Influencer program.
Unlocking Tax Strategies for Content Creators: Expert Insights with Tina McGlynn
Q: How does the income from the Amazon Influencer program actually get reported to the IRS?
We all get a 1099 NEC. Amazon doesn't have to send you one until you've made $600, but almost all of us get that 1099 NEC which reports everything that Amazon has paid you.
Unlocking Tax Strategies for Content Creators: Expert Insights with Tina McGlynn
Q: What do I need to consider? Should I stay LLC? Should I go S-corp based on the $90,000 a year that I've made in content creation earnings?
You can either do a multi-member LLC and just involve your kids and your wife, or you can be an S-corp, but once you move into an S-corp, it's almost impossible to go back to being an LLC.
