  • No available episodes

Every time I’ve tried to listen to a story I get the message “this episode is unavailable”. Why is this even listed on Apple Podcasts?

  • The worst. Nothing is available in Russia.

Not a single episode is available in Russia. I’ve clicked on ALL the episodes. Nothing. Why do you show in the search filed if you don’t want people to listen to it?! And why on earth making it unavailable? People want to learn English and listen to such shows, who gets hurt by that? Stupid rules(((((

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

NSSA 2024 - Hamlet, a Love Story by Lucy Caldwell
Q: What was it like having Shakespeare as a co-author?
Lucy found it strange and rich; she had to know the play on a deeper level than just as a spectator, studying it intensely to create her unique interpretation.
NSSA 2024 - Hamlet, a Love Story by Lucy Caldwell
Q: What was the source of that?
The story reflects on the author's experiences in New York, where the protagonist confronts the reality of death and the fleeting nature of life while being involved in a theatrical production.
NSSA 2024 - The Barber of Erice by Will Boast
Q: Does being an outsider writing about Italy make a difference to you as a short story writer?
Yes, although I don't usually write about other places, having that outsider perspective allows me to portray Italy in a way I find convincing while addressing broader themes.
NSSA 2024 - The Barber of Erice by Will Boast
Q: Was it a hard decision deciding whose voice to use?
No, the story came out whole, and I felt it was natural to tell it from Giulio's perspective, focusing on themes of isolation and marginalization.
NSSA 2024 - The Barber of Erice by Will Boast
Q: What did you want to explore in telling this story?
I wanted to make it a microcosm of how the global north is responding to the migration crisis, highlighting both the opportunities and tensions.
