  • Sewing Stories

This podcast has me captivated. It’s the storytelling that captures me. I’ve been listening to the podcast for a little while now and after listening to the QuiltCon 2023 episode, I felt inspired, emotional and captivated. I appreciate the careful threading of the messages Meg takes us through with her guests. As a hobbiest quilter, learning the ropes to this art form and craft, listening to this podcast has become part of understanding the identity and culture behind quilting.

Q: How did you first learn to sew and who is your inspiration?

Sue O'Very - Life is Gorgeous!
Q: Would you explain what a Serger is?
A Serger is a sewing machine that finishes edges with a blade and can also handle cover stitches; it's often called an overlocker in Europe, but in general it's a versatile tool for finishing edges and more, not just garment sewing.
