Over a million and a half non-Koreans call South Korea home. This number grows every year as the country continues to internationalize through travel, investment, finance, IT, culture, technology, and other sectors. At the center of it all lies Seoul, among the largest metro areas in the world. This podcast is a showcase of the diversity of the city and the surrounding areas. Visit our website for... more

Hi, I really like listening to this podcast. The chemistry between the host and its guest is almost always there, the questions are thoughtful and provides a really great listening experience. Definitely recommend to anyone wanting to know more about Living in Korea from mostly foreigner perspective. Itâs great!
Haven't binge-listened to one single podcast in years. Truly amazing host and guests! Greetings from Bulgaria.
The host is a really good interviewer. I find this podcast so enjoyable. The topics are quite diverse within the theme. Two thumbs up!
I only wish it was more often, but I appreciate that it's more of a side project and it's hard to book guests.
Talking about coffee shops and transport system as whats great about seoul. Are you kidding me? And âwhen i am in seoul i never take them to gangnam because its not koreaâ - how do you know thats not seoul? Seoul is gangnam, jongro and everything. Why do white people like to romanticize exoticism? So annoying.
This podcast is amazing! If you have any interest in Korea, this is a great resource. The host is very talented as an interviewer and the interviewees are such interesting, intelligent people. Whether you've lived in Korea for years or are just beginning to learn about the country, everyone has something to learn from Settlers of Seoul!
Awesome podcasts so far, hop you will continue and bring more guests to talk about South Korea. Love listening and learning about my country. I live in the states for 55 years and donât interact with Koreans. So this is so helpful.
I always look forward to new epsiodes! Arius Derr does a fantastic job with his interviews, and the guests have all be great. Being able to listen to the podcast here in Korea makes it extra special. Keep it up!
I really enjoy your show. Thank you!!!
This podcast has been fascinating so far. Arius is a very good interviewer because he gives the guests the space to talk in depth about their interests and lifes. The diversity of the guests is the main appeal of this show; from an American to a diehard kpop fan from the Philiphines, but they are never portrayed as being onedimensional. I would highly recommend this for anyone who has an interest in East-Asia or South Korea in particular!
I only listened to three episodes so far but I have really enjoyed all of them. I particularly loved the John Nowell interview.
My only criticism is that perhaps sometimes the interviewer spends a bit too much time talking about things which are not so revealing about life in Korea (for example the interview with the í¸ěě owner seemed to spend a bit too much time on the commercial details of running a convenience shop). More questions about the intervieweeâs perception of Korea are perhaps more i... more
My lady is Korean and has needed more Korean centric content and we greatly appreciate what you have done so far.
Good interviewing style, interesting guests, not particularly weedsy
As interesting and informative as I could want out of a podcast. Wide range of subjects and questions with knowledgeable guests.
Thank you :)
The first episode is really interesting, both from academic and everyday life perspectives. Always interesting to know the stories of different foreigners in Korea.
