  • Favorite Pod

This has quietly become my favorite podcast over the past few months. I guess it’s so surprise that an HSP pod snuck into my heart that way! I find myself coming back to it time and again for the insights, the stories, and the gentleness. It’s my weekend pod, and the fact that I’m willing to spend my weekend time on it says a lot! It feels like a big cup of something warm and validating. I highly recommend to the big thinkers and feelers out there, even if you’re not all about seeing everything ... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

74: Amplify Your Needs with Psychedelic Medicine
Q: How should an HSP prepare for a psychedelic journey?
HSPs should focus on three phases—preparation, the journey, and integration—prioritize sensory safety (lighting, sound, smell), work with a trained facilitator, and start with lower doses and gradual pacing to build a safe, meaningful relationship with the medicine.
74: Amplify Your Needs with Psychedelic Medicine
Q: What is the difference between recreational and therapeutic use of psychedelics?
Therapeutic use occurs within a structured clinical or guided setting with medical oversight, psychological support, and a clear therapeutic goal, while recreational use happens outside that framework and may lack safety and preparatory work.
72: Easing into Anger
Q: What practical strategies can listeners use to begin titrating anger and expressing it in healthier ways?
Listeners can build playlists or art-based exercises to channel anger, use movement or dimmer-switch metaphors to gauge intensity, take breaks when needed, and practice reflection after incidents to reimagine healthier outcomes.
72: Easing into Anger
Q: How has your personal relationship with anger evolved over the years, especially for someone socialized to be 'nice' or 'good'?
Anger has become a legitimate, grounded part of her experience. She describes moving from denying or suppressing anger to acknowledging its usefulness and channeling it into advocacy and purposeful action, while learning to express it safely.
68: Navigating Chronic Illness with Compassion
Q: How has the experience of receiving this diagnosis been as a highly sensitive person?
It's been overwhelming at first, but clarity came with understanding the diagnosis, leading to resilience.
