love the topics and the information being explored - the interviews with actual scientists are well done and thorough. however the “interviews” with sanchali feel really weird and forced, like some scripted PSA about the topic. they just feel unnatural and corny.
Great podcast that is informative and action-oriented but doesn’t leave me feeling hopeless. The microplastics episode is especially great — anything touching that topic usually sends me into the stratosphere with anxiety, but this made the issue feel accessible and actually worth trying to tackle. Thank you!
I don’t remember how I found Second Nature. Maybe some time in March when I was spinning out on social media and desperately unhappy with current events? The episode about growing even a few vegetables on your apartment balcony inspired me. I’ve now got tomatoes, basil, and zucchinis growing in containers on the patio! Anyway, I look forward to new episodes and listen to them on my lunchtime walk.
Climate change is so big and scary, it’s easy to get anxious, or even worse, numb. The antidote? Action. This podcast provides practical tips with a grounded but hopeful tone that makes sustainability feel accessible to anyone. Simply put, it’s a breath of fresh air.
