  • Ad issues

I like the content but the ads are awful. There are way too many of them and their placement is terrible. They seem to be interjected randomly. Some times in the middle of a sentence. Please fix these issues.

  • Great podcast! Volume Mixing Issues?

Is it just me or is there volume very quiet on the podcast? And the commercials come in at random times and they are normal volume and very loud in comparison.

  • Love the content, please fix sound!

Great analysis and interviews. My only request is please work on the sound mixing. The show audio can be hard to hear only to be blasted with advertisements in the middle of a segment. Let’s Go Kraken!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Guy Flaming, The Pipeline Show
Q: What makes a player like Gavin McKenna likely to be the first overall or a top pick, beyond talent?
Marketing and readiness to fit into a team's system and marketability play a role; McKenna is viewed as a strong talent with immediate marketability, especially for teams like Toronto.
Guy Flaming, The Pipeline Show
Q: Which defensemen could be ready to contribute in the next season or two for Seattle?
Keaton Verhoff, Albert Smits, and Carson Carl's are highlighted as players who could potentially step in sooner, with Smits seen as a likely candidate to contribute in the fall and Carl's as a strong, well-rounded potential cornerstone.
Guy Flaming, The Pipeline Show
Q: How does the CHL to NCAA pipeline affect draft strategy this year?
With the CHL gaining four years of control over players and a longer grace period, teams may favor CHL players for later rounds or see more CHL players as potential long-term contributors, while still recognizing the CHL pipeline remains a major source of talent.
Guy Flaming, The Pipeline Show
Q: What are the main reasons top five picks aren't immediately impact players in the NHL this year?
The main reasons are physical maturity and the longer development timeline; many players are drafted at 17 or 18 and need two to three years to fill out, gain strength, and adjust to the professional level, which delays immediate impact.
NHL Draft Show H3: Kraken pick! Jake O'Brian and Chase Reid
Q: What did you take away from facing Reid in the OHL and how might that translate to the Kraken?
O'Brien notes Reid's defensive instincts, high hockey IQ, and the ability to play both ends of the ice, which should help him transition to the pro game with the Kraken.
