I found the podcast interesting. I was particularly impressed by Mo’s background story, and how he overcame the marginalization of being from a minority community to achieve success. As a first generation migrant myself, I admire his tenacity and resilience. I think that the innovative nature of Aptos is partly shaped by Mo’s journey or overcoming barriers and striving to become the best. A truly inspirational story

  • Blockchain Privacy vs. Speed

For instance, the podcast highlighted the competition between Google vs. Yahoo and how Google grew their market share in search since their technology was significantly faster than Yahoos. Q: What motivates your approach and what is your mana or superpower as an investor?
My superpower is leveraging decades of capital markets experience to manage relationships with issuers, sponsors, and investors, applying tenacity and integrity to discern good versus bad opportunities, and coordinating a team to execute the growth and IPO journey for portfolio companies.

The thesis was that all assets would become digital and that liquidity and access would require new, digitally-native market infrastructure; over time, the conviction has strengthened as digital assets have gained legitimacy, with adaptation to market changes rather than sticking to a fixed plan.
