The content is so good. Informative, inspiring, rich, academic, thorough, interesting, calming. This is my favorite podcast right now.
Grateful for so much inspiration and detailed narration of the life and word of Jesus Christ according to the orthodox tradition. Raised as a Catholic, listening to Dr. Jeannie has changed my faith for the better and has brought the word of the Lord close to my heart. A deep understanding of the history, the law of the times as well as the interpretation of the Fathers of the Church are provided for each verse, such a blessing, so much peace to my soul.
For the last two months I’ve been reading the writings of John; Gospel, Letters and Apocalypse. I heard about Dr. Jeannie on Eric Metaxis’s podcast and browsing around I ran into this treasure trove. I have always loved church history and the Bible. Needless to say I will start at the beginning of the live podcast and dedicate a notebook to these teachings. Kind providence led me here. God Bless!!!
This is an excellent podcast for learning and understanding the Bible as the Ancient Church did. Dr. Jeannie explains the Bible *so* well, and she is a highly educated teacher. I have been listening to her for years, and will continue to do so as long as she has this program, God willing for many more years! I recommend this podcast to all of those who are already baptized Orthodox Christians, catechumens, inquirers, and those who truly love the Word of God and are seeking to understand it in it... more
Dr. Jeannie’s insights are so pertinent, well-reasoned, articulate and well thought out that I am often amazed. I have learned much from her that I would not have expected to, so I have been one of her devoted listeners for years.
