  • Garden Laughter Therapy

This show is absolute comic therapy for us American gardeners struggling with the current stressful news cycle. Absolutely ridiculous at times but they somehow toss in some fabulous advice. Amazing chemistry that just makes me smile. Thank you. PS- I have 5 gnomes doing yoga in my yard.

  • Love, relax, garden

This is my most relaxing moment when i see a new episode online. I always listen to you 2 when i take a walk with my dog Hugo. I’m laughing out loud at least 10 times per episode. It’s embarrassing🤦🏽‍♀️. But, LOVE the content, it RELAXES me and my dog, and inspires me to GARDEN with whimsy.

  • Gardening show that is never boring

Slightly deranged, always entertaining, the one and only James and Joe garden show. Apart from singing, of course.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Question Time: At What Age Do You Officially Become a Horticultural Bore?
Q: I keep finding random trowels and gloves buried in flower beds that are most definitely not mine. What is the weirdest thing you have dug up in a client's garden?
The hosts discuss the humor and frequency of unremarkable finds like old oyster shells or clay pipes, highlighting how digging often yields mundane discoveries rather than dramatic treasures.
Question Time: Why Modern Sport is Ruined by Bad Grass (and Why Goalkeepers Hate Daisies)
Q: Georgina announces she's heading to the Chelsea Flower Show and asks for survival tips to avoid spending too much while still enjoying the experience.
The hosts discuss budgeting approaches for Chelsea, including Chelsea Deals, trying out seating and comfort at furniture stalls, and budgeting limits with a plan to walk away with worthwhile buys rather than impulse purchases.
Question Time: Why Modern Sport is Ruined by Bad Grass (and Why Goalkeepers Hate Daisies)
Q: Scarlett asks at what point one officially transitions from a contemporary gardener to a right old horticultural boar, and whether there is a specific birthday for that shift.
The hosts suggest that the change is gradual and personal; you'll wake up one day instinctively drawn to heritage potatoes, alpine plants, and smaller scale delights, indicating you've tipped over the edge rather than hitting a hard birthday.
Question Time: The Great Horticultural Royal Rumble - who wins in a fight?
Q: Have we got one more question?
They read a listener question and discuss potential humorous scenarios and gardening topics, maintaining a casual, playful tone while solving a real gardening problem.
Question Time: Killing Expensive Plants, Black Fences & Garden Guilt
Q: Are there any times in winter when you hunker down and have a break from your garden?
They acknowledge winter as a period with reduced gardening activity, advise embracing rest, watching films, or simple low-effort projects, and highlight that weather dictates what is feasible, with some gardeners staying busy indoors with notes and planning.
