  • Seriously great watch pod

Listened for a long time now and it’s a great podcast for anyone into watches or watch curious. Down to earth, comical and really does go from the top to the bottom of the price ranges with no w@nkyness. Also, listen to the episode with the land speed record holders. Seriously brilliant.

  • AKA the double entendre podcast

    Just from the last episode:

“Yellow is the colour of waterspouts…”

“Glad you were able to get off some quick wrist time…”

“… have us coming into your ears twice a week with regularity…”

  • Good but could be better.

Appreciate how much effort goes into making these and I know it’s free and I know I can switch off (I often do) but there’s way too much waffle in your regular shows. Guests are usually of a high standard and you do a good job interview-wise but probably half the content is pure blethering nonsense. Film reviews and ignorant/uninformed opinions on medical issues are the weak points and add nothing of quality to a watch-based show. When you’re focused on guests and/or are critical of brand practi... more

Q: Tell us about the collaboration.
The Xander collaboration with Christopher Ward started around 2024 with conversations led by Julianne, culminating in a fully realized project that merged the artist's abstract style with the brand's design language, ultimately resulting in a skeleton dial that's both technically feasible and visually striking.
Scottish Watches Podcast #802 : Independent Watch Chat With Pietro
Q: What is the vision behind Pietro's showroom and touring approach?
Pietro's showroom acts as a living gallery and hub for engagement, with a daily curated rotation of 30 watchmakers and regular Discovery Tours; the touring concept will bring the brand to major and regional events, allowing direct interaction with makers in their own spaces and creating content that informs and excites collectors.
Scottish Watches Podcast #802 : Independent Watch Chat With Pietro
Q: Tell us all about the 2026 edition.
The 2026 edition will be split into two halls: a premium hall for master watchmakers and established brands, and a Discovery area for entrepreneurial, more attainable independents; the event is private with registrations via email, aiming to maximize representation and visibility for a wide range of artisans while keeping it accessible for collectors.
Scottish Watches Podcast #797 : Summer Smash Hits For The Wrist

The Ultraviolet uses a vibrant colorway and a sharp, angular Defy Extreme design paired with a microblasted matte titanium case, purple-tinted sapphire dials, and a unique 1/100th second timing layout, all powered by the El Primero 9004 movement for high-frequency chrono functionality.
