  • A brilliant, compelling listen

Excellently presented podcast about the dark world of scamming. High quality material that’s both enlightening and entertaining. I feel so much more informed after just the first few episodes, and can’t wait for more.

  • Scam Clinic

A great start and worth our encouragement. Perhaps cut down a bit on the ‘parish notices’ at the start and get on with it. A good listen from one of the stars of BBC’s ‘Scam Interceptors’( a fab true crime style consumer show). Love the ‘Birdsong’ detective work in episode two. Keep up the good work, Nick and co.

  • Gripping

Highway robbery has a new name…”scams” I’m now just waiting to be scammed..because there is no escape…even staying home is no guarantee now as they get you there…

These shows are gripping thrilling and fascinating…and worrying Biggest worry is the lack of concern any financial institutes have..no one cares…with the lack now of high street banks…it’s hard to get anyone interested should you need help.

How to Get Scammed on Purpose
Q: What is the core idea behind this scam bait and why do you think it's valuable to explore it by putting money into an investment scam on purpose?
To uncover the exact tactics scammers use to move people to invest, by observing their approach firsthand and then sharing clear, actionable red flags and storytelling that helps the public understand how such scams operate, including the emotional and psychological aspects of the manipulation.
Q and A: Email ransom, police impersonation and real or fake?
Q: What makes these investment scam tactics effective, and how can people protect themselves without losing time?
They build trust through familiar names and convincing framing, but listeners should conduct secondary source checks, question unrealistic returns, and allocate time to due diligence even if it feels inconvenient.
Q and A: Email ransom, police impersonation and real or fake?
Q: How should someone respond if they receive a ransom or sextortion email like the one described?
Do not reply, do not engage, delete the email, and report it to relevant authorities; ignore any attempts at further contact and verify through independent channels if needed.
Q and A: the worst thing you can say to someone in a scam
Q: Tony asks, I get a lot of texts from debt firms to a name that sounds like mine. How can that be?
This is usually a data issue or misspelling in datasets used by scammers. Treat such messages as red flags and verify through official channels if you owe a debt, rather than engaging via a questionable text.
Q and A: the worst thing you can say to someone in a scam
Q: Helen is asking, why am I still getting spam calls when I put my phone on block unknown and spam calls?
Spoofed numbers can still bypass basic filtering. Even with blockers, you may see spoofed or legitimate-looking numbers; modern phones use AI and trust scoring to flag spam, but it's not foolproof, so exercise caution and report suspicious calls.
