Sanity at the Movies

They're very smart, I respect their social beliefs, but they're snobby about movies everyone else likes and they review obscure, little known movies to appear like they're smarter than everyone else. They even admit that they're contrarians and are proud of it. Listen to them trash Babylon Bee to know how uptight and navel gazing they are. If there's something that conservative Christians like, they'll find a way to complain about it.

So if you don’t like Irish culture, that means you’re a racist? What a ridiculous and out of place statement.

Movie reviews by guys who are determined not to encounter any ideas that they disagree with. Movies being reviewed by bigoted white Christian guys who can’t handle anything that doesn’t reaffirm their narrow belief system. They really can’t handle how their views are challenged by Godard, to the extent that one of these guys spends an hour discussing what he doesn’t like about him despite having spent 5 minutes watching parts of two of his movies. Not just a movie podcast, full of wisdom and insight!

Enjoying this, so far. I appreciate that they cover some films that you don't hear come up too often in Christian circles.

Listened to an episode because I got the name of another podcast wrong, ended up unpleasantly surprised by this one. Would rather have gone out to my grandma’s farm to check her yard for cow pies.

I have never heard such an excellent podcast by Christian’s on culture and I probably never will hear one again until I listen to the next episode of this podcast!

Nathan, Ben and Jake have such a good rapport ; they obviously love movies and watch them thoughtfully, and they have a degree of insight into to human nature that belies their tender years 😜. I never miss an episode.

I think this is a great podcast but…..my mom thinks it’s not a good podcast even though we’ve only listened to one episode. And she has know idea I am righting a review.🤫🤫

But in my opinion it’s a great podcast. You should listen.

How can you possibly release a film review/dialogue podcast episode where one person hasn’t seen the film and other did but didn’t understand it?

Excellent podcast that looks at movies from a Christian perspective. The host is extremely knowledgeable about movie history. That alone makes the podcasts worth a listen. It's very clear that these are three friends who like to talk about movies.

If you all hate culture so much, why even bother making a podcast about it?

Episodes vary in their helpfulness, but the Avengers convos are some of the best Christian movie commentary I have ever encountered.

Great movie review podcast. I enjoy listening to the guys discuss each movie. Their unique personalities add up to a fun listen. Most importantly, because they are Christian, I know I can freely listen without worry of unwanted language, and know that they are reviewing with a Christian worldview. It’s also fun that they review all genre of movies (old, new, for kids and families, etc.).
