I find these podcasts to be helpful as a medical student. However, the fat shaming in the “Weakness” episode is completely unnecessary. It doesn’t add to the case, and if anything discredits the host. He literally admitted that he didn’t bother to get the patient up during the initial exam because of her size, despite likely knowing that the weakness was worse with walking to the restroom. As an experienced educator and longtime clinician I have found these podcasts to be fabulous. Adam and Scott are remarkably engaging and have great chemistry. Their pearls, pet peeves and fingerprints are very useful and I learn several new things on every podcast. I've been recommending them widely to our students, residents and faculty.
