  • You’re missing out

The fun loving spirit of Rush is alive and well. No other podcast so uniquely invites Rush fans of all stripes, depths, and widths to share their love of the band, their memories, or their sense of exploration. In-depth guests interviews, Rush themed games and a pulse on the beating heart of the Rush Tribute Band community. If you love Rush, you’re really going to love Rush Rash. Blah, blah

  • Ugh. Where to start?

First, I’m a huge Rush fan and I was looking for new Rush podcasts to listen to with the end of Something For Nothing. This is not the replacement I was hoping for. On a broader note, the episodes are too long. Too much time is spent on other things/topics. I enjoy a bit of banter, but there is too much. Also, the drop ins are out of control. Less is more. Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Episode 105. Something For Nothing
Q: What's the central thesis or takeaway from your Rush 2112 book, in a sentence or two?
The book argues that 2112 isn't just a progressive rock epic but a carefully crafted argument about artistic autonomy, with the band intentionally balancing narrative ambition, musical complexity, and commercial strategy to create a lasting cultural artifact.
Episode 110. Where's My Thing?
Q: What sparked the idea to create Cygnus X-1 and document Rush's history?
John explains it started as a family website in 2004, grew from a Rush and Star Trek overlap, and evolved into a dedicated archive because no existing sites met his level of detail and rigor.
Episode 112. Need Some Love
Q: If Neil Peart were your child's substitute teacher for one day, what's the subject that would terrify the students the most?
Deb imagines Peart delivering philosophy in class, which would be daunting, highlighting his commanding presence and the seriousness of his storytelling approach.
