A range of interesting topics over across the series (haven’t listened to them all but most) but episodes and series could be shorter and punchier with better editing. Hosts often indulge in unnecessary side stories and ignore the elephant in the room. Series 9 for example, had a long story about a sailing trip to the North Pole whilst not discussing the impact on her husband.
I was sad that Helena decided to abort her husband's child with out any real effort to think about how they could manage the baby. I don't know how someone so intelligent managed to get pregnant despite stating she really didn't want kids. It must have been heartbreaking for her husband to loose his kid. If this were the other way around and the father had walked away from a child we would be shocked. Her body her choice but I'm not surprised it caused her marriage to end. So the woman starts out saying how she is CHILD FREE - and makes a big deal of how it’s her choice, 100% what she wants… She gets persuaded as easily as by babysitting one time and suddenly her womb is exploding. 🫣

A very interesting subject and voice. I hesitantly say that as a feminist, I found the voice to be needy and too self and attention seeking, truly vexing to me at times, but that is due to my own judgement and lens and not being able to identify with their experiences, not having had any struggle w the decision to have children, and believe like some others in the podcast, it is the most wonderful part of life.
