Why does Souhan inject his politics into a show about the Twins? Other than that the insights are good. Especially Roy and Lavelle.
Roy Smalley actually watches the team and has insight; I enjoy when he breaks down players. Jim Souhan and LaVelle Neal III seem like fine gentlemen who used to pay attention but now just check in and as a result are not informed or perceptive about modern baseball. For being former beat writers they bring very little information to the table compared to other Twins podcasts.
It appears that you recorded the episode before the news that the franchise is up for sale. Second episode discussing that possible?
How can you not have an episode on the night the Twins break their epic playoff losing streak? Solid analysts but beholden to the almighty dollar. Guess you couldn’t get enough sponsors in

The three regular hosts provide a mix of insider perspective from long-time beat reporting and former-player viewpoints, offering practical analysis of players like rising arms and lineup decisions, along with broader organizational context and sponsor segments that keep the pacing lively. Notable attributes include roundtable-style debate among trusted local voices, strong emphasis on player development and farm-system depth, and frequent cultural detours that color conversations without losing a baseball-centric core.... more
