  • Thank you

In a world where propaganda has brainwashed a vast majority of people (those who don't experience the conflict themselves but consume news via social media and biased news sources), it's important to listen to real people from the region - people who have experienced and are experiencing the conflict firsthand. I have been following Ksenia Svetlova, an unbiased and truly intelligent expert on the Middle East, for over a decade. Thanks for creating this podcast together with Ibrahim Abu-Ahmad.

Iranian Dissident Dreams of a Democratic Iran

Settler Violence or State Policy? What Happens in the West Bank
Q: What does the current trajectory mean for the possibilities of a two-state solution or alternative political arrangements?
The discussion suggests that current dynamics may pressure the region toward alternatives beyond a classic two-state framework, including ideas like land-for-all or federalist models, while emphasizing that lasting peace requires protecting civilians and rebuilding political imagination.
Settler Violence or State Policy? What Happens in the West Bank
Q: Can you explain what you mean by protective presence and why it is needed on the ground?
Protective presence refers to groups of Israelis and international activists who accompany Palestinian communities to deter violence, document abuses, and stand in solidarity, thereby reducing the likelihood of attacks while raising international awareness and accountability.

Q: How are Kurdish women represented in this struggle, and why is female leadership significant here?
Kurdish women are increasingly prominent as fighters and leaders, echoing Abdullah Ocalan's ideas about gender equality and resilience, which sets Kurdish militias apart in a region historically male-dominated.
