These stories are about folks who suffer twice - once for their medical malady and then also for the struggle to be diagnosed. Harrowing and helpful.
I love this podcast. I’m a medical nerd initially and approached each episode thinking I could anticipate the diagnoses. I did get a few but the majority were a surprise or shock. The episode I guessed within the first minute was Holly’s story from series 2 because it is also my story. I have listened to that episode several times as it is comforting in a way; it feels like a validation. So give it a listen, and who knows — you may hear someone else tell your story.
Not my typical podcast but I love it!
Thank you for sharing these stories so sensitively. I have learned so much. Beautiful listening.
These little snippets into the real worlds of a variety of people with rare health problems are fascinating, moving and just so interesting. The host Helen is excellent. Stories for those who want to know more than just their own corner of life, for those with illnesses who want to relate, and the generally curious.
