A compelling and well-put together podcast exploring the human side of life-changing medical diagnoses. Helena has chosen to explore a range of rarer mental and physical conditions, presenting them as mysteries that are gradually understood and treated. I was in awe of the bravery of the people who shared their stories.
These stories are about folks who suffer twice - once for their medical malady and then also for the struggle to be diagnosed. Harrowing and helpful.
I love this podcast. I’m a medical nerd initially and approached each episode thinking I could anticipate the diagnoses. I did get a few but the majority were a surprise or shock. The episode I guessed within the first minute was Holly’s story from series 2 because it is also my story. I have listened to that episode several times as it is comforting in a way; it feels like a validation. So give it a listen, and who knows — you may hear someone else tell your story.
Not my typical podcast but I love it!
Thank you for sharing these stories so sensitively. I have learned so much. Beautiful listening.
