Jeremy isn’t really interviewing, he just trying to make whomever he’s talking to think he’s cool

Excellent podcast! Jeremy is a seasoned and professional host. Fantastic choice of guest…which are not always the easiest to get. I enjoy that the show gets directly to the show, and not 10 minutes of build up.

  • Just ok. Mitch doesn’t ask tough questions

This podcast would be far better if Mitch would ask more fan based questions for the artists he is interviewing. For example how did Lawrence Gowan feel about replacing Dennis Deyoung etc. for too often it’s just a Pal friendly conversation without much content

  • Great chemistry!

Lots of music podcasts make it about the hosts but these guys really know how to make the artists shine! Genuinely fun to listen to, a great show indeed.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

National Guitar Day w/ Sean Kelly talking Pointy Guitars!
Q: When did you discover your love for a guitar?
Sean Kelly recalls that his moment of discovery happened when he first saw Twisted Sister's 'We're Not Gonna Take It'.
Brian Greenway from April Wine PLUS a NEW Van Halen Box Set is announced!
Q: Did you think that you guys would still be going at this point?
We were hoping for a big tour. We were, Boston is going out. We're kind of hoping we could have got on that. I don't know who's going to.
Brian Greenway from April Wine PLUS a NEW Van Halen Box Set is announced!
Q: How many stacks would you guys do at the time to do harmonies like that? What's the most you've ever done?
Well, say hello at what? Nine voices and three notes.
Brian Greenway from April Wine PLUS a NEW Van Halen Box Set is announced!
Q: Was that, you know, like, did he have like a thing in his head? Like, you know, this is how the drums are supposed to sound with the guitars?
I don't know what he had in his head, but I know that what went on in the studio and he was producing, but also very much important to the sounds was the engineer, in this case was almost a co-producer.
Brian Greenway from April Wine PLUS a NEW Van Halen Box Set is announced!
Q: Take me back to when you were recording those records. I mean, like, you know, some of those songs are just absolutely iconic at this point; was it a fun time to be a guitar player?
It really was, and the studio absolutely spoiled it for us being anywhere else. It was new, it was luxurious, it had a private lake, it had a modern house, it had a cook that would cook us dinner and breakfast and lunch if we wanted it.
