Episode 29 - The Gaff Goddess: Laura de Barra
Q: What are the biggest areas that you're like, you know what, you just have to do this every few months, few years, whatever, and it's easy to do?
Re-silicone is one of the biggest updates you can give your bathroom, and it's a pain in the fucking hole to do. It's a horrible job because when you're taking it out, you have to take it out immaculately or the new silicone won't stick to the surface.
Episode 19 - Georgina Wilson, Special Guest
Q: What are your thoughts on one of those being under a window? So like, do you think it's better to have a sink under a window or a hob under a window or does it matter?
Definitely a sink. I think you can do both, but it's often the case that if you have a hob there, there are likely to be a few more limitations on the height of the window.
Episode 19 - Georgina Wilson, Special Guest
Q: Is it fair to say that that's probably your area of expertise, Georgina?
Yes, I love that topic and it's definitely something we have in common, focusing on period homes and making them suitable for modern living.
Episode 23 - Live at the Ideal Home Show
Q: How do you start budgeting for a renovation?
You need to be painstaking about it, itemizing everything and getting three quotes for tasks.
Episode 23 - Live at the Ideal Home Show
Q: What inspired the podcast then?
We loved talking about it and we thought we should be recording it since our discussions were so helpful.
