I saw a few podcasts concerning obscure docs I love, that are rarely covered. I am now listening to all of them (even the music I may not be interested in).
So grateful that a coworker tipped me off to this podcast! Funny, insightful, probing and unpretentious, it’s pitch perfect. For me, a rabid consumer of rock docs, discovering this podcast was like finding a 99-cent butcher cover at the local Goodwill. Keep on Chooglin’!

Great show for music fans of all types! Chris packs in a lot of fun history and information between his own experiences and that of his varied and knowledgable guests. Even episodes about artists you don’t think you like are interesting with all of the woven stories that are discussed. Thank you!

A thoughtful show that pits music history against cinema, featuring conversations with musicians, filmmakers, critics, and artists about their favorite music-related documentaries, films, and videos. Episodes spotlight behind-the-scenes storytelling, archival digging, and the ways music and film intersect—from cult classics to modern experiments—with a distinct DIY sensibility and a knack for drawing out personal anecdotes from guests. A standout thread across episodes is the mix of deep fan knowledge, practical production insights, and long-running ties to independent music scenes, making it a rich listen for listeners who crave context, craft, and cultural critique in equal measure.
