  • All behind a paywall

Used to be a big fan, but now it is all click-bait style episode titles with the actual content behind a paywall. There's no point in trying to listen now.

  • Would love to listen…

Man I’d really love to listen to this podcast, the episodes sound interesting, but it’s all locked behind a paywall.

  • I won’t pay, sorry

I purchased and read both Christy’s books. Her previous podcast was a sounding board for me in the pandemic. Sadly, I am unsubscribing from newsletters and doing digital cleaning of so many spruces I follow. I have so much content to digest for free and it is sad this very important voice is not as accessible as the ones she critiques which have a lot of free content. I understand money must be made, maybe finding sponsors whose values align? Products from fat business owners BIPOC etc. I would ... more

  • Always gentle, always evidence-based

I’ve been listening to Christy’s podcasts for over 7 years and recommend her to everyone. She conducts an unparalleled amount of research to be able to present us with accurate data and evidence in accessible ways (mostly—sometimes I have to listen more than once to process the info). And she’s genuinely kind and empathetic! I feel empowered and emboldened with what I’ve learned from her, not least of which is self-acceptance, self-love, and patience. If I could only listen to one podcast for th... more

  • For Paid Subscribers Only

I respect needing to sustain oneself and make a living, but this may as well be a paid podcast, for both this and the newsletter because at least each time I’ve tried to listen or read several times over the year, a subscription is required to listen to the full episode or read the full article or post.

I love the content, but I agree with others who proposed retaining the model. Perhaps have some shorter episodes that are free or free for a limited time. As it is now, it’s the frustration of ... more

The host acknowledges the request and confirms that a detailed, evidence-based exploration will be provided, particularly for paid subscribers who will get extended discussion and sources.
Can You Fix Your Thyroid with a Diet Change?
Q: The person writes, I have high levels of thyroid antibodies and nearly every publication on thyroid health, hypothyroidism and Hashimoto's thyroiditis recommends a highly restrictive diet.
The host transitions to a deeper examination of whether such restrictive diets are truly supported by robust evidence, setting up a future, paid-subscription deep dive into the science.
Why Beauty Imperatives Are Not Victimless Crimes ft. Elise Hu
Q: Can you talk about the intense beauty standards in Korea and how they challenge recovery and affect people there?
