Dr. Greg Hall does an amazing job of teaching the background of each passage of scripture in order to make the passage more understandable and, therefore, more meaningful. For me, the most important and helpful approach he takes is to pull Old Testament writings to bear on the New Testament scriptures he is teaching. Dr. Hall's podcasts on John and Acts have been a joy to follow, and I trust there will be many more to come.
Sincerely,
An Episcopal listener from Alabama
Dr. Hall does a fabulous job exploring scriptures with fresh insights. His understanding and explanations of ancients texts and exploration of subtle differences of likely meanings of Greek words at the times they were written sheds new light on the messages of the authors. Most impressive though is how Dr. Hall ties the New Testament stories to the Old. The imagery of both comes alive with each telling. A very well done project. Highly recommend.
Greg Hall does a wonderful job of bringing scripture to life. Not only does this podcast give new ideas of our old beliefs but it connects the Old Testament and New Testament in such a way that you see clearly how these stories are actually one long story of God’s love. Great for a small group study.
Truly deep insights I didn’t see before!
I’ve loved hearing a different view of John’s gospel based on all the scholarly research Dr Hall had brought into the discussion. It has really stretched my mind and continued the journey of learning context that started when I started listening to Dr Michael Heiser. Highly recommended!
