  • Decent Packers Podcast

Decent Packers podcast. JR is solid. Matt is next to useless and provides little to no useful commentary on the actual team. If you can handle the grating smugness of Paul, he is a good analyst. Last few months they have definitely made sure that listeners know their political views and perspectives. Why on Earth this is pertinent to a Packers podcast is unclear to me, but they clearly see it as something that is useful for their audience to know.

Please, for the love of God stop Matt’s rambling. Especially about Madden. It’s awful. Or about concerts he goes to. Or long rambling stories about not football topics. Honestly he doesn’t help increase the value of the show. You lost a star because of it. Otherwise it’s gold. Love the show.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Reporting as Eligible - Matt is Terrible Part 2 - The Questions
Q: Does Green Bay know they're allowed to complete passes that are greater than five yards and less than 40 yards?
They seem to have gone away from the medium passing game likely in reaction to past interceptions.
Reporting as Eligible - Matt is Terrible Part 2 - The Questions
Q: What would Sleeper Cell Matt LaFleur have done differently?
He could have called riskier throws to get more shots downfield, but it really could have been worse.
Reporting as Eligible - Matt is Terrible Part 2 - The Questions
Q: If you are going to replace Lefleur, who do we hire?
It would probably be someone unknown or an up-and-comer since big name coaches like Andy Reid are rare.
Reporting as Eligible - Matt is Terrible Part 2 - The Questions
Q: How long until Micah Parsons requests a trade?
The team has a strong offense but a terrible defense, and Parsons may not help them become serious contenders.
Reporting as Eligible - Carolina Low
Q: What should we do to prep for Philly?
They are built like the Panthers right now without A.J. Brown, and if they want to beat good teams, they need to play offense like a real team and not let bad teams back in.
