I’m sorry is this a brewers podcast or a cubs podcast? Ridiculous

  • Good podcast, but…

Enjoy your takes but having an extremely hard time taking them seriously when you consistently mispronounce the players names. Fray-lick (Frelick), Alta-vey (Altuve), and

Ura-by (Uribe) to name a few. I’m beginning to think it’s deliberate as you all know the game so well.

  • Best Brewers Pod

Shout out to the best Brewers podcast out there. Awesome and amusing insight (almost) every week. As for this year, I hope you’re correct in your optimism for a late deal to fortify the infield. MLB Trade Rumors seemed to feel that the Brewers had nothing left to spend in free agency.

“Nothing left” felt like strong words to me, as that would seem to imply they’d spent something already.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Episode 424 | Off and Running
Q: Which internal candidates are most likely to fill in at first base if Vaughn and Chourio are out?
Possible options include Jake Bowers at first base on right-handed-start days, with Gary Sanchez sharing time; Jet Williams could be a quicker call-up option for offense and versatility, though Wilkin offers more raw power but less proven experience at first base.
Episode 424 | Off and Running
Q: What impact could Andrew Vaughn's hamate injury have on the Brewers' right-handed balance and power?
The injury is significant because hamate injuries typically sap power; the Brewers will likely lean on other players to cover power and use this as a chance for others to step up, while hoping Vaughn regains power as he recovers.
Episode 424 | Off and Running
Q: With Jackson Chourio expected to miss a few weeks, how concerned should we be about his development curve and April-May reps?
The panel agreed the concern is real but not devastating; Chourio has historically adjusted after brief delays, but the lack of reps early could slow his timing and power, requiring a careful ramp-up and potential adjustments in coaching as he returns.
Episode 423 | 2026 Big Season Preview
Q: Who are your NL division winners and three wild cards?
Predictions favored the Mets in the NL East, a Cubs Brewers race in the Central, and Dodgers in the West, with Milwaukee and Philadelphia contending as wild cards; other guests echoed similar divisions but with caveats about injuries and depth.
Episode 420 | 2026 Offensive Preview, Brah
Q: What early season metric should we watch for Jackson Churio to take the step into superstardom?
The panel emphasizes chase rate as the crucial early metric, arguing that improving discipline at the plate will unlock his power and overall production, with other factors like zone contact supporting that progress.
