  • Good podcast, but…

Enjoy your takes but having an extremely hard time taking them seriously when you consistently mispronounce the players names. Fray-lick (Frelick), Alta-vey (Altuve), and

Ura-by (Uribe) to name a few. I’m beginning to think it’s deliberate as you all know the game so well.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Episode 431 | The Baby Brewer Rotation
Q: Kyle Harrison's leash: how much should they let him go through the order?
They should try to give him a bit more leash when he's pitching well, balancing the risk of third-time-through penalties with the value of longer performances, while trusting that the organization's depth and pitching development can absorb some inning erosion.
Episode 430 | Great Radio
Q: What is the risk factor with Miz's arm given his velocity and repertoire?
They acknowledge the arm risk associated with throwing 100+ mph and advanced off-speed pitches, but emphasize that the workload and timing, plus his frame and mechanics, suggest careful management is essential; the trajectory could be exceptional but inherently risky.
Episode 430 | Great Radio
Q: Mizorowski seems to have figured out some more control. What has changed that he's getting these results?
The panel notes improved command and better repetition of mechanics for Mizorowski, with faster adjustments to locate breaking balls and keep fastballs in the zone, leading to a sustained negative walk rate and a higher strikeout rate.
Episode 428 | A Handbag of Herget's
Q: What's the outlook for Chad Patrick and McGill in the bullpen/rotation mix as the season progresses?
Patrick could be moved back to the bullpen to maximize the team's leverage options as the rotation stabilizes; McGill showed potential with improved velocity and breaking ball usage, but he needs to sustain it and avoid early-innings damage, especially with runners on.
Episode 428 | A Handbag of Herget's
Q: What's the biggest problem right now for the Brewers—the leverage bullpen or the left side of the infield?
The consensus is that the bullpen is the bigger immediate concern, since its underperformance affects close games and overall win probability, though the left-side infield has been disappointing as well; both are being watched as the team considers how to allocate time for prospects like Jet Williams and Madej to contribute.
