  • Mostly wonderful

Tex is the best representative a fanbase could hope for, and Unpack takes themselves exactly as seriously as they should.

Paul and J.R. are great, but I skip every RAE despite that. It’s unlistenable when Matub is on. I’ve never met anyone with such a prodigious combination of misplaced self-assuredness and narcissism. Pretty sure Matub’s kid’s first word will be “me”.

I love Pack-a-Day, Pack’s What She Said and Locked On Packers but this is where it’s at. The Wine Bois are great, JMosq is a degenerate in the best way possible and Matub is a barrel of laughs. Glad their back. • You can’t keep a good pod down!

SO EXCITED that’s these podcasts are surviving to fight another day. If you’re not familiar, these are the podcasts from the Acme Packing Co, and each one is better than the last. Come for the smart takes of Justis and Tex, stay for the laid-back silliness of UnPack, and while you’re at it, develop a mild obsession with the hilarious smug brilliance of Reporting as Eligible. Heck, maybe even join their Patreon! You’ll get question priority…

This is the good stuff, folks. I’m so glad it’s here!... more

Listeners Say

Key themes from listener reviews, highlighting what works and what could be improved about the show.

Fun podcast that does not take everything to serious.
Much like the latter years of Ted Thompson's Packers tenure, SV Nation was wasting the prime podcasting years.
Tex is the best representative a fanbase could hope for.
The crew has something for everyone. Draft/scouting content, data-driven analysis, dumb guy takes (in a good way), and good vibes.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Reporting as Eligible - Matt is Terrible Part 2 - The Questions
Q: Does Green Bay know they're allowed to complete passes that are greater than five yards and less than 40 yards?
It seems like they have abandoned the medium passing game, likely due to concerns over interceptions.
Reporting as Eligible - Matt is Terrible Part 2 - The Questions
Q: If Nick Sirianni had long ago turned Matt LaFleur into an Eagle Sleeper Cell and activated him for tonight's game, what would Sleeper Cell Matt LaFleur have done differently?
Matt LaFleur's playcalling could have been riskier, taking more chances downfield with his receivers instead of conservative calls.
Reporting as Eligible - Matt is Terrible Part 2 - The Questions
Q: How long until Micah Parsons requests a trade?
The Cowboys are not a good team overall; though they have a solid offense, their defense is severely lacking, and Micah Parsons alone may not elevate them to contender status.
Reporting as Eligible - The GoldenMan Saga
Q: Are the Bears actually good?
I don't think they are good.
Reporting as Eligible - The GoldenMan Saga
Q: Is there an elite team in the NFL this year?
It's a weird year in terms of lack of quality. There really is no elite team by kind of any stretch.
