I find that many podcasts in ag serve only the objective of the sponsor. Redox Grows, while it has a company in the podcast name, is generally objective in its content and not as gimmicky as many that I have listened to. The first episode of this podcast that I listened to featuring David Holden I found to be refreshing, useful, and insightful. Really looking forward to listening through all of the episodes

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

The Hormuz Dilemma
Q: What steps should stakeholders take in the near term?
Prioritize securing the last million tons for April–May, consider domestic production expansion and potential farmer payments or financing to sustain spring planting, and monitor regulatory changes that could ease or constrain logistics.
The Hormuz Dilemma
Q: Can you quantify the risk to specific regions or products?
Europe is experiencing higher gas prices and reduced nitrogen production; Russia and India are key exporters with disruptions, which threatens global urea and LNG supplies and could lead to a multi-month adjustment period.
Groundbreaking Technology helps growers in America's Heartland
Q: Why are you here, and what are your thoughts about this week?
I'm here for education. I need to be as smart as my growers and to make good agronomic and economic advice, so I can provide evidence-based recommendations that help farmers stay financially viable.
Less Plant Stress, More Success - A Visit with Dean Piller
Q: What were some of the results you saw in the 2024 trial?
During the 2024 SLX Pro trial, OsmoPro helped the turf withstand heat and drought more effectively, though soil moisture gains were modest; the trial suggested that the product improves the turf's resilience during stress events rather than simply increasing moisture.
Less Plant Stress, More Success - A Visit with Dean Piller
Q: Tell me about the 2025 weather challenges you had?
Dean explains that dry, hot summers with minimal rainfall have become the norm, followed by atmospheric rivers when rain returns; these changing patterns create hydrophobic soils and stress the turf, prompting him to adopt a more proactive, year-round input strategy with OsmoPro and associated products.
