  • I feel like I’m in therapy 😀

    Kara,

I’m so happy I found your podcast. The first one I listened to was with Tim Gunn. Love him!

I feel like I’m therapy while I listen.

    Thank you so much!

  • Great interviews

This is a “go to” for my interviews with unique perspectives. The subjects are not there to promote something so you get an interesting, almost conversational interview. I’ve enjoyed listening to people I know nothing about.

  • Tim Gunn - so in-depth!

I was amazed at what Tim revealed and could have listened to this go on even longer! I’m laughing how Tim was sort of dissing Heidi but now he’s doing Making the Cut with her. Wonder how she feels about what he said about her in 2017? Never heard in interview where someone revealed what he thought about people he worked with when he was still working with them. He needed to vent and didn’t care!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Jill Kargman
Q: What was it like getting high-profile cameos for Influenced?
Requests were sometimes a leap of faith; saying yes often depended on a shared connection and a willingness to ask, which paid off with cameos from Gwyneth Paltrow, Matt Damon, and others.
Jill Kargman
Q: Tell me about the loneliness and anxiety behind the scenes of a lot of influencers.
It's exhausting to project perfection all the time; many influencers face pressure and internal struggle, and the movie explores this tension between public image and private life.
YouTuber Ryan Burton, aka "Rhino"
Q: How has losing virginity affected your confidence and approach to dating?
It gave a boost of self-belief and boldness, but also highlighted how ongoing self-perception and looks influence how you're treated.
YouTuber Ryan Burton, aka "Rhino"
Q: Why do you think you and others chase validation so much?
Because external feedback starts to feel like proof of self-worth; true change comes from learning to validate oneself internally and building healthier routines.
Spike Lee
Q: What are you still working on personally? Not professionally.
Spike Lee responds with 'Patience,' indicating it's a quality he is working on currently.
