Our mission is to redefine the word "professionalism" by empowering communities to be their authentic selves. When we are told to be professional, in many ways we are told to not be ourselves. On this podcast, we have candid conversations and explore the conflict that we often face between being our authentic selves & "professionalism". The podcast is named ¿Quién Tú Eres? because that’s the quest... more

Every time I think this is my favorite episode you come out with another one!! The guest on these shows have all said one thing or another that has past in my own mind through my experiences. But this last one with Carlos Santos -man just made me want the episode to be longer! Being raised in the east coast and now residing in the Midwest, these episodes make me feel right back with my people! Let’s keep moving forward and flourishing!! Que dios te bendiga para seguir pa’ lante con fuerza!!
I absolutely love Pabel’s podcast. I came across it at a time when I was transitioning from a toxic work environment that had greatly affected my mental health. Listening to this helped me heal, feel seen, and realize I’m not alone in my experience. I even had my white husband listen to a few podcast episodes and it greatly opened his eyes to my personal struggles in the PNW tech world. I can’t recommend this podcast enough - I love listening to it as it feels like I’m listening to friends chat.... more
I have mixed feelings about ¿Quién Tú Eres? by Pabel Martinez. The reason why is that I noticed a pattern. The pattern is that most of his Afro-Latino guests are lighter-skinned and mixed-race. How will they relate to my experience as a dark skin Afro-Latino with two Black parents? Also, most of them (including the host) love to separate their Black and Latino heritages (keep in mind, being Afro-Latino is supposed to be together, not separated). Or worse, not identify as a Black Latino (Afro-Lat... more
A solid podcast. I found it engaging and informative. Pabel is a great host and conversationalist, and keeps the conversation lively and engaging and more importantly, deep. Some pods struggle to strike the balance between educational and entertaining, that’s not an issue here. A lot of great information, a lot of great advice. Would definitely recommend to anyone curious about the world of professionalism in the 2020’s . A great listen, no notes.
The bravery it takes to be so transparent and vulnerable when sharing one’s journey - coupled with the challenges we inevitably face when in spaces where we are few and far between - is only surpassed by the bravery is takes to step away from comfort and financial security in order to make a greater, more transformative impact.
This is the conversation that we need to be having in our communities. ¿Quien tu eres? makes me feel seen and understood; it challenges me to ask ‘¿quien soy yo?’
