Jimmy and his podcast are focused on giving people tangible advice to improve their psychedelic use. From how-to’s and advances techniques, this podcast has helped my own personal practice. I like when there’s guests, always good to get other viewpoints. More people who like psychedelics should know about this podcast!

  • Genuine and useful

A heartfelt and wonderful introduction, and you can go as deep as you want in this fascinating topic.

But please. Please. Please stop constantly using the phrase “return back.” The word “return” means to go back. It’s driving me crazy! Maybe I’m a candidate for psilocybin lol

  • A lot of sorting

There are some good nuggets of wisdom and knowledge here but I wish these guys had an editor - or that they tightened up their language and storytelling. A 30 minute episode could easily be ten minutes without all the irrelevant content and repetition. Also there’s so much (increasingly) promotion of their company and it gets old.

  • Genuine

This is my favorite psychedelic podcast by far. The integrity and authenticity with which they approach their podcast topics and offerings is heartening. In the ongoing proliferation of podcasts on this topic, theirs is the most educational, practical and expanding. There is no one “right” way, it is a very individualized experience, and they never claim to be authorities (on something which no such assertion can be truly made) and are open and curious, and openly share their wealth of experienc... more

  • Insightful

I had watched a Netflix program on psychedelics which sparked my curiosity, but I was also very wary about it. This episode was incredibly informative and insightful about the benefits, but also realistic about the personal commitment one needs to make to for this treatment option to have a lasting positive effect.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Mushroom Mycology for Health and Wellness with Jeff Chilton Pt. 1
Q: What sparked your transition from cultivation to focusing on medicinal mushrooms and labeling integrity?
Jeff explains his career path—from commercial cultivation and growing mushrooms to founding NAMX and advocating for truthful labeling and rigorous testing to ensure products contain real active compounds like beta-glucans.
Mushrooms, Cannabis, and Living Authentically with Nancy Rassbach
Q: How has this journey affected your relationship and daily life, including your approach to aging and activities like tandem biking?
The journey has shifted how I interact with my husband and how we support each other's growth. Regular journaling, therapy, and shared activities like tandem biking keep us connected and provide a framework to navigate challenges. I've learned to accept him as he is while continuing my own practice, which has led to a more harmonious relationship and a fuller, more engaged life in retirement.
Mushrooms, Cannabis, and Living Authentically with Nancy Rassbach
Q: Could you share how your goals and intentions evolved from the initial mushroom experience to your ongoing practices with journaling and cannabis?
The initial intention was to see whether psychedelics could help with a persistent cough, but the experience opened up a deeper sense of connection and a question about what else might be possible. Over time, journaling, consistent integration work, and the mindful use of cannabis became tools to reach similar altered states and insights, allowing me to become more honest and in touch with my better self.
Psychedelics & Living Your Truth with Dr. Michael Sapiro
Q: What do you want to speak about as far as your work with first responders and the special ops community?
He emphasizes the sacred nature of the work first responders do at the edge of life and death and stresses the importance of showing these communities that they matter just as much as those they serve.
Psychedelics & Living Your Truth with Dr. Michael Sapiro
Q: Can you explain your philosophical approach to psychedelic work and why you emphasize the need for active participation from the therapist?
He explains that active participation during an altered state can emphasize real-time transformation and help the client practice new behaviors that align with their authentic self.
