  • Wonderful insights

I have only recently listened to one episode. The ketamine therapy insight was what brought me here to listen. I am possibly going to have a session with a therapist under a safe medically appropriate place and I am seeking information on how’s and why’s this treatment might be recommended. I found most of my questions answered and am listening to more episodes seeking a better understanding on the after sessions and potentially a documentation process that I might following my potential session... more

This podcast never disappoints. What I like about it so much is how it’s very multidisciplinary and talks about ‘the third wave’ from so many angles.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Psychedelic Preparation: Why Safety Starts in the Body - Dave M. Rabin, M.D., Ph.D.
Q: What do practitioners miss when they skip the nervous system in safety planning?
They miss establishing a baseline physiological safety that allows the experience to unfold; without this safety, fear can dominate and block healing, leading to suboptimal or even negative experiences.
Posting About Psychedelics in the Age of AI - Victoria J. Cvitanovic
Q: How might FDA psychedelic approvals affect content moderation and platform risk?
FDA approval could reduce some content moderation pressures for proven medical uses, but safety concerns about children and regulatory changes could lead to stricter platform policies and higher risk of censorship overall.
Posting About Psychedelics in the Age of AI - Victoria J. Cvitanovic
Q: What practical steps can be taken if a processor freezes funds?
Prepare liquidity separation if possible; contact risk/compliance teams, document all communications, collect relevant contracts and statements, and escalate to CFPB if unresponsive; avoid hasty bank disputes that could worsen the hold.
Posting About Psychedelics in the Age of AI - Victoria J. Cvitanovic
Q: How should practitioners handle payment processing risks and holds?
Treat holds seriously: obtain a case number, request exact policy sections allowing the hold, review merchant agreements, and consider involving a lawyer if the hold is prolonged or extraordinary.
Right to Try Psilocybin: Law, Death, and Dignity - Kathryn L. Tucker, J.D.
Q: My first question is, what originally drew you into legal advocacy around patients' rights and end-of-life autonomy?
I pursued public-interest work in Washington and Oregon and helped campaigns for Death with Dignity, recognizing a need for individual liberty and autonomy at end of life; I then expanded to federal and state cases, focusing on regulated, safe access to psilocybin as the trials emerged and showed meaningful relief for existential distress in seriously ill patients.
