  • Wonderful insights

I have only recently listened to one episode. The ketamine therapy insight was what brought me here to listen. I am possibly going to have a session with a therapist under a safe medically appropriate place and I am seeking information on how’s and why’s this treatment might be recommended. I found most of my questions answered and am listening to more episodes seeking a better understanding on the after sessions and potentially a documentation process that I might following my potential session... more

  • Comprehensive

This podcast never disappoints. What I like about it so much is how it’s very multidisciplinary and talks about ‘the third wave’ from so many angles.

  • Infomercials for “enlightened” wealthy entrepreneurs

The “oil and gas” guy is the most recent and egregious example, but most episodes follow the same format. Some wealthy individual starts by humblebragging about all their material needs being met beyond imagination, and then goes on to explain why that doesn’t matter anymore but they still have a product to sell. How about speaking to some ordinary people outside your privileged bubble about how they use psychedelics to deal with their ordinary lives?

Jonny Miller - Nervous System Mastery: Preparing the Body for Psychedelic Work
Q: What are some fundamental practices as it relates to the nervous system that can create a sense of safety before a journey?
Practices include learning to notice somatic signals of safety, using breathwork to signal safety to the nervous system, and incorporating environmental changes such as music and lighting.
Jonny Miller - Nervous System Mastery: Preparing the Body for Psychedelic Work
Q: How did psychedelics enter your story and did they help or hinder your own nervous system work?
Psychedelics, particularly ayahuasca, helped me open up my interoception and emotional fluidity after experiencing deep grief and loss.
Brian Tierney, Ph.D. - Visionary Somatics: Psychedelics, Trauma & the Dreaming Body
Q: How do you think about those two phrases, transformation and transcendence?
Transformation is about change and immanence; transcendence is often about escaping reality.
Brian Tierney, Ph.D. - Visionary Somatics: Psychedelics, Trauma & the Dreaming Body
Q: What would be some considerations that you would bring into that program?
Grounding is essential, starting with establishing a sense of safety through touch and breath awareness.
James Fadiman, Ph.D. & Jordan Gruber, J.D. - The Power of Less: Microdosing for Mood, Energy, and Clarity
