Of all the podcasts about primates in popular culture hosted by a Melbourne based comedian, this is definitely one of them
This will make you yell with your iPod, not at it
I turned on the Grinch episode and it was chaotic and very funny. Highly recommend if you’re looking for unending amusement. I’ve never wondered before if the grinch was an ape, but I’m glad to now know that the answer is “probably, yes.”
I would love more regular Prime Mates in my feed. I saw the auteur Robert Vince has a TV show call Russell Maniac with the synopsis: Stray dog with anger issues, gets trained by a monkey to become a wrestler. Sounds like gold
Still the best podcast about primates in popular culture

A witty, long-form chat about primates in pop culture, blending banter, trivia, and guest-driven discussions with a strong emphasis on humor and offbeat topics. Episodes orbit around iconic primates, cinema, and comics, while grounding conversations in show business anecdotes and live-performance storytelling. It's likely to attract listeners who enjoy nerdy yet approachable takes on movies, TV, and primates, with a playful, irreverent tone that doesn't take itself too seriously. A standout strength is the casual chemistry between co-hosts and a rotating slate of guests, producing content that feels like a lively conversation among friends with a nerdy passion for primates and pop culture.
