Following municipal politics in the lower mainland is exhausting. I am tremendously thankful for the service podcasts like this and others provide. Expect the wisdom and insights accrued over decades distilled into, more often than not, fantastic interviews.
Totally biased review, as I produce the podcast, and have hosted a few episodes. That said, the episodes hosted by Gord - his guests, interview style and the content generated by those conversations - have been like a mini-graduate degree in urban studies for me. I give 3-4X as much time listening to the content in editing as I do during the recording, and am continually amazed by how much value I get out of the episodes. Informative, compelling (often funny), and both timely and timeless.
What makes Vancouver a unique urban place? This podcast takes you into the areas that matter.
This podcast is a great addition to the commentary about politics and urbanism in Vancouver. Just a bit of feedback for future episodes - the volume is often quite low, which can make the podcast difficult to hear especially outside or in crowded places. Also, the most recent episode (grading Council) cut off partway through - too bad because I was enjoying it! Hopefully the full version can be re-posted?
Here’s intelligent, thoughtful, engaging conversations on critical Vancouver and regional issues. A great start.
