Love the status newsletter, and appreciate the scoops and items they have. However, there is a lot of repetition of the same statements within each segment of this podcast.
If the coverage of Taylor Swift was excessive, this must coverage of the coverage was, too.
As usual, when discussing healthcare, Mr Pudhoretz demonstrates a stunning lack of knowledge...ignorance. For example, mocking an RFK reference to mitochondria, mitochondrial myopathies, and mitochondrial dysfunctions which are a thing… medically and scientifically.
Ignorance.
This duo was right on top of the story today of the puzzling, no shocking, cancellation of Colbert’s show. They seem to be plugged in to media stories and have the depth that good storytelling requires.
Some good insights here, but way too much patting of one’s own back. It must be incredibly frustrating not to get full credit for your scoops. But constantly referencing that and saying “we were the first…” gets tiresome, even if true. If someone is listening to your podcast, then they likely already consider your reporting and analysis worthwhile. Focus more on that and less on getting props. The latter will come in time.
