As an avid reader, it’s wonderful to be able to listen to these episodes and hear both the authors insights and the carefully crafted questions and commentary. I appreciate that the books are current which adds to my reading experience.
Really enjoy this podcast except when host, Miwa Messer, is the interviewer. She constantly interrupts the authors and seems to be always struggling to say what she thinks is the most profound statement of all time.
Sadly, the George Saunders episode was one where she must have told us (annoyingly) that she’s been a “bookseller forever” a bazillion times, and she interjected herself needlessly throughout.

Why would Miwa Messner invite the NYTBR people on just to talk about herself the whole time? Why have a host who grinds every conversation to a halt? And she constantly interrupts herself as if everyone already knows what she’s talking about, but we don’t because she makes no sense.
I would love to hear the authors being interviewed but the host interrupts and talks too much. This show is not about you! Stop talking about yourself and let the authors speak.
I love the way this book feels in my hands. The pages turn smoothly and for a big read, this is an important feature! Perhaps it is strange thing to note. Just loving Loneliness
