  • Disappointed

This podcast used to be the best! Useful, honest and thoughtful. And now it’s just a celebration of the Trump Admin. Dasha is mostly fine and I still sometimes enjoy the Politico journalists but the new host is awful.

  • Unserious and unbearable

The amount of awkward laughter on this podcast as they report serious political news makes it unbearable at times to listen. And I’m doing my best to ignore the political bias that has taken place since 2024. I thought the laughter would stop once the previous host left, but they seemed to have doubled down on it with both hosts doing it now. It’s cringe.

  • Drivel

What was once a valuable roundup of news has now devolved into an embarrassing smear of third rate and tone deaf wannabe punditry. But that’s the world we all live in now.

  • The Kennedy Center

The Kennedy Center was a living memorial to a great predident. To put Trumps name on it and to leave his name on it is a disgrace, and normalizes a lack of human decency.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Trump's headline headaches
Q: Just talk us through your latest reporting.
The guest explains the concerns within the Trump administration about Gulf-led investments and how a prolonged Iran conflict could affect capital for tech startups and large firms, while noting White House pushback that the scenario is based on optimistic assumptions about the war's duration.
Bondi's out — are more Cabinet shakeups coming?
Q: What was notable about Jared Isaacman's interview, and what does it reveal about NASA's priorities?
Isaacman's discussion emphasizes aggressive NASA timelines, Artemis II ambitions, and the potential for space exploration to drive scientific and economic returns on Earth, including healthcare-related advances.
Bondi's out — are more Cabinet shakeups coming?
Q: What does the larger cabinet shakeup say about the administration's strategy and its ability to confirm nominees after the midterms?
They suggest the White House may push for changes while acknowledging that Senate confirmations could become more challenging post-midterms, influencing their timing and selection of replacements.
Bondi's out — are more Cabinet shakeups coming?
Q: What do you make of Pam Bondi's departure and the cabinet shakeups in general?
The hosts frame Bondi's exit as part of a deliberate pattern where the White House is balancing loyalty, base support, and performance concerns, with the Epstein files and prosecutions pressures contributing to the decision.
Inside Newsom’s plan to take on Trump | On the Road
Q: When do you decide about running for president?
Fate will determine it; the decision is framed by the moment, the people, and whether I can meet the moment with the right why and readiness, rather than a predetermined timetable.
