Growing up in Saudi Arabia as a Pakistani, who now resides in Canada, Eiynah brings a global perspective to discussions about religion, politics, culture & sexuality - through the lens of a progressive ex-muslim immigrant. This podcast often focuses on unpacking various forms of extremism, particularly types that are less overt and masquerading as ‘intellectual’. Eiynah has a specific interest in ... more

Ada Lovelace was Lord Byron’s daughter. She was not “friends” with Mary Shelley. Pretty sure Lady Shelley was dead by the time Ada was born.
…or whatever that podcast is named now. Mounds of receipts each episode. Thanks.
It’s just good to be able to find in one place who is masquerading as not a spade. Fantastic pushback to the prevailing ick of IDW faux intelligentsia academia media. Also known as calling a reactionary f”¢k a reactionary f”¢k 😂 where’ver one may find them Which unfortunately online is too many everywhere, but they are full time normalisers so it’s hard to know sometimes.
I've been listening to Eiynah for years and have enjoyed her takes on the IDW and right wing nutjobs the entire time. I definitely think people should go support her on patreon so that she can keep this going. Also, don't pay attention to the one star reviews. They're almost entirely dishonest Sam Harris fans or bootlickers
These aren’t topics I’m super informed on, but I appreciate the depth and work that go into them! I feel like I learned something from a perspective I’m not familiar with.

A thought-provoking show that challenges mainstream narratives around politics, media, religion, and culture from a progressive ex-Muslim perspective. Across episodes, it frequently critiques online ideological ecosystems (like the Intellectual Dark Web) and scrutinizes how power, misinformation, and identity politics shape public discourse. Notable strengths include analyzing controversial figures with sharp, data-informed critique and inviting diverse guest perspectives that push listeners to reexamine assumptions. It probably resonates with listeners who value rigorous argumentation, moral clarity on social justice issues, and a willingness to confront uncomfortable truths about media and politics.
